Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Claudia Feres has a Bachelor of Music from the Campinas State University (Brazil). She awarded the medal of Honor of the city of Jundiai (Brazil) for her work as music director of the Jundiai Youth Orchestra from 1982 to 1986. Ms. Feres has appeared conducting the Porto Alegre Symphony Orchestra, Sao Paulo State Symphony Orchestra, Campinas Symphony Orchestra, Sao Paulo Municipal Symphony Orchestra, Brasilia Symphony Orchestra, Fukuda Chamber Orchestra, Opera Giocosa del Friuli Venezia-Giulia, Amazon Philharmonic.
In 1987, she won the first prize in the Porto Alegre Symphony Orchestra Competition. She has also participated in the 42nd Spring Prague International Competition in 1990. In 1991, she was appointed principal conductor of the Londrina State Univertsity Orchestra (Brazil), where she worked for three years. In 1998, she participated in the International Institute for Conductors in Kiev where she conducted the Ukrainian National Symphony Orchestra during the Concert “Young Conductors of the Planet”.
Claudia Feres was the associated conductor for the Santo Andre Symphony Orchestra (Sao Paulo, Brazil) from 2004 to 2006. She was the music director and principal conductor for the Jundiaí Chamber Orchestra from 1999 to 2003. From 2002 to 2006 she was the principal conductor for the Women Philharmonic Orchestra (AVON Women in Concert), where she worked with such artists as Barbara Hendricks and Kiri Te Kanawa. She has been the music director for the Jundiaí Music School (Brazil) since 1997 where she coordenates the Youth Orchestra - Orquestra de Câmara de Repertório since 2005.
Creator of various musical projects such as Concertos Matinais (Londrina - PR), Concertos Astra (Jundiaí - SP), "Music and Citizenship" (Jundiaí - SP). From 2008 to 2010 she was professor for the conducting classes at Souza Lima Music School.
From 2011 to 2014 she was principal conductor of the Heliópolis Youth Orchestra - Instituto Baccarelli. In 2011 she was appointed Principal Conductor and Music Director of the Jundiaí Municipal Orchestra, today in its 14th Season.
